Media Director/ Associate Media Director (Havas Group Vietnam)
Job summary
The Media Director / Associate Media Director will be responsible for leading integrated media strategy, planning, and execution for key client accounts at Havas Group Vietnam. He/She will bring a strong strategic mindset, financial acumen, and leadership skills to drive innovation and effectiveness in media planning across both online and offline channels.
This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams (Strategy, Programmatic, Content, Analytics, and Ad Ops) and the ability to work in a hybrid environment with regional teams.
Responsibilities
1/ Strategic Media Planning & Execution
- Lead the development of integrated media strategies that align with clients’ marketing objectives.
- Oversee the end-to-end media planning process, from insight generation to execution and optimization.
- Ensure a data-driven approach to media planning by leveraging research, analytics, and measurement tools.
- Work closely with clients to translate business goals into effective media campaigns across TV, digital, social, OOH, print, and programmatic.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the media landscape, including consumer behavior, media consumption trends, and competitive analysis.
2/ Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main point of contact for key clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
- Provide strategic consultation to clients on media performance, investment strategies, and innovations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (regional teams, media partners, vendors) to ensure smooth execution.
- Lead presentations and reports to educate clients and key stakeholders on media strategies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, clients, and stakeholders, with strong project management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle pressure.
3/ Financial & Budget Management
- Own media budget planning and allocation, ensuring cost efficiency and ROI optimization.
- Manage revenue targets and profitability of client accounts, ensuring adherence to financial goals.
- Oversee media investment, tracking costs, revenue, and scope of work in accordance with client contracts.
4/Cross-Functional Team Leadership
- Work closely with Strategy, Programmatic, Content, Analytics & Insights, and Ad Ops teams to drive seamless execution.
- Lead and mentor a team of media planners and buyers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Optimize working processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and agility in media planning and execution.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of media planning and strategy experience, preferably managing large-scale accounts.
- Proven experience in client servicing, with the ability to build strong relationships, manage expectations, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior clients.
- Ability to develop and present strategic media recommendations and POVs to both internal teams and external clients.
- Strong expertise in integrated media planning (TV, digital, programmatic, social, OOH, print).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Experience in eCommerce, performance media, and MarTech solutions is a plus.
